The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Sunday handed notices ordering the demolition of eight Palestinian-owned homes in the village of Furush Beit Dajan in Nablus, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

According to a local Palestinian activist Ghassan Daghlas one of the homes that received demolition orders was built before the Occupation of the West Bank in 1967.

The mayor of the village Azzam Hajj Ali said that three demolition notices were earlier handed over to other residents of the area Thursday.

Since the beginning of July, the Israeli Occupation authorities demolished, confiscated, or forced people to demolish 54 structures in East Jerusalem and Area C of the West Bank.

This figure included 20 homes that were accused of not acquiring the necessary building permits, which are almost impossible to obtain, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

As a result of the demolitions, 66 Palestinians, including 34 children, were left displaced, and the livelihoods of more than 795 others were affected.
