Ramtha factory closed for selling animal viscera for sausage production

After authorities found three tons of animal viscera in a factory, which were being sold to butcher shops for sausage production, the facility was closed down.

A security source told Roya that the factory had poor sanitary conditions.

The inspection of the factory involved authorities from the Royal Department for Environment Protection and the Jordan Food and Drug Administration.

Coordination with the Ramtha municipality was confirmed to dispose of the seized quantity of intestines.
