The Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Italy received a report claiming that there was a bomb on one of the Egyptian planes at the airport, without mentioning the name of the operating airline.

On Facebook, EgyptAir announced that it took all necessary security precautions against the threat in response to the report.

However, after the plane was checked and inspected by the airport authorities in Rome, it was proven that "the plane was free of any threat," EgyptAir announced.

According to the statement, EgyptAir Flight No. MS794 took off safely from Rome Airport to Cairo International Airport, and the flight arrived at 2 am Friday.
