Ben Gvir calls for major military operation in West Bank
Israeli Occupation Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, urged settlers to remain steadfast in the outposts they have taken control of in the West Bank. Ben Gvir, with the backing of the Netanyahu government, pledged to lead a military operation to seize the Avitar outpost in Mount Sabih, located in the town of Beita, south of Nablus. He emphasized the need for complete legalization of these outposts to strengthen control and ensure the settlers' security.
In a separate incident, a video circulated on social media showing a group of settlers attacking the mosque in the village of Urif in Nablus. The settlers, accompanied by dogs, desecrated and stole copies of the Quran, throwing it on the ground outside the mosque.
Furthermore, in an attack on the village of Jalud, south of Nablus, five Palestinians were injured. Dozens of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli Occupation Forces, targeted homes on the outskirts of the village. The victims suffered injuries from rubber-coated metal bullets, stones, bullet fragments, and tear gas suffocation.
