Hundreds flock to Ajloun Cable Car on opening day

During its inaugural day, the Ajloun Cable Car attracted a large number of visitors who were captivated by the magnificent views. The visitors expressed their joy and satisfaction with the project.

Citizens praised the cable car site in Ajloun for its exceptional location, stating that it surpasses the beauty of similar sites in Turkey.

The 2.5-kilometer-long Ajloun Cable Car project started welcoming visitors at its full capacity Friday, as announced by the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZG).

The cable car's take-off station is situated within the Ajloun development area, while the landing station is located near Ajloun Castle.

A total of 40 aerial cabins will be in operation and could be increased to 60. Each of the cabins can fit eight people.

The Ajloun Cable Car operates daily from 11 am to 6:30 pm, except on Sundays.

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing concluded the project at the end of 2022.

The JFDZG's Chairman of the Board of Directors Khalaf Al-Hmaisat said tickets will be sold for JD 4 for Jordanians and JD 8 for non-Jordanians. Additionally, children under three years of age ride for free.

The ministry said earlier that the project was built in accordance with the highest international engineering standards and within the specified time periods.
