Aqaba hotels' occupancy rate reaches 70% over weekend

Friday, the vice president and spokesperson for the Jordan Hotels Association Hussein Hilalat said that the hotel occupancy rate reached 70 percent in Aqaba, 88 percent in the Dead Sea, 55 percent in Amman and 54 percent in Petra.

He added that the occupancy rate in five-star hotels in the Dead Sea amounted to approximately 88 percent and 57 percent in four-star hotels.

As for Aqaba, the occupancy rate in five-star hotels stood at approximately 70 percent, 75 percent in four-star hotels, and 40 percent in three-star hotels.

According to Hilalat, the occupancy rate in Amman amounted to approximately 55 percent in five-star hotels, 60 percent in four-star hotels and 57 percent in three-star hotels.

In Petra, the occupancy rate stood at 54 percent in five-star hotels, 53 percent in four-star hotels and 22 percent in three-star hotels.
