Roya's Jalta 'Kebrat Al-Eileh' won the best Jordanian TV series during Ramadan 2023, according to a poll conducted by ET Bel Arabi.

The Ramadan competition was fierce in the 2023 season with more than 80 Arabic drama works, featuring some of the most important stars in the Arab world.

Nearly one million participants took part in the poll.

Additionally, the ET Bel Arabi poll revealed that actor Zuhair Alnobani was named the best Jordanian actor for his role in the Jalta 'Kebrat Al-Eileh' during Ramadan 2023. Amal Dabbas also won as the best actress in the Jordanian series, according to the poll.

Jalta 'Kebrat Al-Eileh' is a comedy-drama written and produced by Roya TV, starring Zuhair Alnobani and Amal Dabbas, as well as a selection of Syrian artists including Wafaa Mously, Jenny Esber, Mohammad Khair Al Jarrah and Lia Mabardi. The series revolves around a middle-class family and the challenges they face every day.

In Ramadan 2022, Jalta “Stroke of Luck” topped the list of most-watched comedy series in Jordan, according to IPSOS. It got more than 62 million views online, 20 million of which were by viewers in Saudi Arabia.
