Turkey declares Friday first day of Eid al-Fitr

Turkey declared that Friday, April 21, will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

A number of countries announced that Saturday, April 22, will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

The countries are Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, and Japan.

Egypt’s National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) announced that Friday, April 21, will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr, according to astronomical calculations.
