Thursday, a drug dealer/smuggler linked to a regional network was arrested on the way to Mafraq.

According to the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that the wanted man, who is classified as dangerous and armed, has been linked to gangs and regional drug smuggling networks.

He is considered one of the main suppliers of narcotic substances in the Kingdom.

The PSD assigned an intelligence investigative team which has been following up on the case and collecting information for months.

The arrest warrant was issued involving ten different charges, all of which are related to drug smuggling and trafficking.

Notably, he has been on the run for some time now, during which he constantly changed his location.

The wanted person was tracked down and arrested as he was making his way from the Ruwaished area towards Mafraq.

During the arrest, two firearms and 10,000 narcotic pills were seized.
