Tuesday, the Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzeh announced that school attendance will be suspended across Jordan on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023.

This came due to the harsh weather conditions affecting Jordan.

Earlier Tuesday, the Meteorological Department said that the cold air mass has intensified in Jordan and rainy weather continues in the north and center parts of the Kingdom and parts of the southern and eastern regions.

Rainfall is expected to be heavy in the western parts of the Kingdom, accompanied by thunder and hail.

Additionally, snowfall is in the forecast in areas that are higher than 900 meters above sea level occasionally.

The department added that in the late night hours, 800-meter areas are expected to witness snowfall, with accumulations varying according to the height.
