Court listens to expert testimony on Al-Weibdeh building collapse case

Sunday, the Amman Criminal Conciliation Court held its fifth session in the case of Al-Weibdeh building collapse and decided to extend the detention of the defendants.

The court heard a witness and an expert in the case and decided to adjourn the session until Tuesday, Oct. 11, to hear the testimonies of all the witnesses, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

Notably, the court held the first hearing of the case on Sept. 25, during which the three defendants pleaded not guilty.

On Sept. 13, 2022, a building collapsed in Al-Weibdeh area in Amman, leaving 14 dead and 10 injured.
