The World Health Organization said, on Saturday, that Africa is the continent with the highest suicide rates in the world.

The organization added that the suicide rate in the world is nine people out of every 100,000 people, while the suicide rate in Africa is eleven people out of every 100,000 people.

The organization noted that there is one psychiatrist for every 500,000 people on the African continent, 100 times less than its recommendation.
