The goal of the West is to weaken, divide and ultimately destroy Russia: Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday the West is attempting to 'weaken, divide and ultimately destroy' Russia, during a televised address to the nation, AFP reported.

"The goal of the West is to weaken, divide and ultimately destroy our country. They [the West] are saying directly that in 1991, they managed to split the Soviet Union and now it's time to do the same with Russia."
