Friday, Qatar recorded the first case of monkeypox for a traveler returning from abroad.

The Qatari Ministry of Health statement said that the patient was isolated to receive the necessary medical care according to the national protocol to deal with confirmed or suspected cases of monkeypox.

They indicated that all those who came into contact with the infected person were quarantined.
