Qatari officials raised alarms over "the dangers of these reckless and irresponsible practices, and the serious repercussions that may ensue for the security and stability of the region and the global economy."

The ministry also drew attention to the "environmental risks arising from targeting energy tankers, and their grave implications for the marine environment and the water security of the region's countries."

The company reported that no crew members sustained injuries and that no ecological damage occurred as a result of the incident.

Nakilat further stated that the tanker remains in safe condition, fully retains its navigational maneuvering capabilities, and is undergoing a comprehensive technical damage assessment.

The shipping operator noted that it remains in close contact with the vessel's crew, actively liaising with regional maritime security authorities to ensure operational safety while continuing to monitor developments.
