A member of the National Committee for Epidemics Bassam Hijjawi told Roya Tuesday that Jordan has entered the fifth wave of the coronavirus, with a new Omicron variant, BA5.
Hijjawi said that holidays contributed to Jordan's entry into the new wave, stressing that this is normal, especially since most countries of the world entered that wave.
Hijjawi said that the increase came from the failure to take preventive safety measures in the past three months.
