The Ukrainian armed forces, during the past 24 hours, lost 90 members, according to RT.

A total of 50 Ukrainian soldiers died during confrontations with the Donetsk People's Forces and 40 soldiers died during confrontations with the forces of the Lugansk People's Republic.

The Ukrainian forces suffered significant losses in weapons and military equipment, the Lugansk People's Republic said in a statement.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry confirmed on Saturday that they have regained control of the city of Trostyanets in Northeastern Ukraine, where confrontations with Russian forces were raging.

The recapture of the city, which had a population of about 20,000 before the beginning of the Russian military operation, appears to be a major progress for the Ukrainian army, after it launched counter-attacks in certain areas.

According to Kyiv, the Russian armored division "Kantemirovskaya" took the city of Trostyanets.

"The Russian army has fled from Trostyanets, leaving behind weapons, equipment and ammunition," the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Ukrainian ministry released photos showing Ukrainian soldiers and civilians among destroyed buildings.
