Poland expels 45 Russian diplomats for espionage: AFP

Wednesday, the spokesperson of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Lukasz Jasina, held a press conference in Warsaw during which he announced that Poland is expelling 45 Russian diplomats, AFP reported.

"The reason for the decision was the practice by the Russian embassy staff of activities not compatible with Polish law and violating the norms of the Vienna Convention," he added.

"Russia is waging a barbaric war against Ukraine for more than three weeks. And we and other Western countries are treated by Russia as its key adversary. Tolerating this type of illegal activity by Russian services would especially threaten Poland's security and the security of our NATO and European Union allies, with whom we coordinate all of our activities like this," he said.
