Jordan records 20 deaths and 8,144 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 20 deaths and 8,144 new coronavirus cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,599,422.

The death toll has risen to 13,751.

The cases are:

-3,353 in Amman

-1,094 in Irbid

-695 in Balqa

-693 in Zarqa

-523 in Karak

-348 in Mafraq

-278 in Madaba

-237 in Aqaba

-195 in Tafilah

-152 in Ajloun

-143 in Ramtha

-104 in Ma'an

-63 in Petra

A total 154 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 169 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 941 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 140,468 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 42,779 PCR tests were conducted.

Wednesday, 19.04 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 21.65 percent Tuesday.
