Jordan records 21 deaths and 12,379 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 21 deaths and 12,379 new coronavirus cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,553,758.

The death toll has risen to 13,629.

The cases are:

-5,591 in Amman

-1,665 in Irbid

-1,207 in Zarqa

-816 in Balqa

-653 in Mafraq

-477 in Karak

-402 in Jerash

-344 in Ramtha

-332 in Tafilah

-325 in Madaba

-278 in Ajloun

-242 in Aqaba

-47 in Ma'an

A total 174 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 187 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 1,106 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 189,646 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 57,182 PCR tests were conducted.

Friday, 21.65 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 22.99 percent Thursday.
