The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Affairs, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Foul, said that there is no truth to the rumor of a detention of a Jordanian girl in the Jordanian embassy in Lebanon.

He said he was surprised by the spread of such news.

Abu Al-Foul confirmed that the Jordanian embassy in Lebanon and other Jordanian embassies and the rest of the diplomatic missions in the world do not carry out detention at all, stressing that detention is the task of the security services.

Abu al-Foul pointed out that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jordan and the Jordanian embassy in Beirut were not informed of the detention of any Jordanian girl on Lebanese territory.

Abu al-Foul added that Jordanian embassies help Jordanians abroad, follow up on their affairs and reassure their conditions.
