A total of 17 countries confirmed cases of the new variant, Omicron, according to CNN.

CNN said Tuesday that the countries are Austria, Belgium, Botswana, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Israeli Occupation.

Additionally, 69 countries imposed travel restrictions to avoid the outbreak of the new variant.

The 69 countries are:
