Around 82,000 benefit from COVID vaccination station at Orange
Orange Jordan concluded the operations of the COVID vaccination station that was established by Orange Foundation Jordan and funded by Orange Foundation, the Group’s arm for philanthropy and social responsibility, located at Orange Digital Village in Abdali areain the heart of Amman.
The vaccine was given to about 82 thousand beneficiaries over three months. The national vaccination platform offered the chance to select the location of the Orange Digital Village for those who wish to take the vaccine via Drive-thru and walking-by, in line with the approved vaccination procedures, to enhance the community immunity and expand the number of vaccination beneficiaries in the Kingdom.
The company affirmed that the launch of this station embodies the role that Orange took since the beginning of the pandemic, in addition to supporting the Ministry of Health and community initiatives, stemming from its role as the Kingdom’s responsible digital leader.
This initiative was executed in collaboration with the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, the Ministry of Health, and volunteers to contribute to the exerted efforts to minimize the spread of the Covid virus and reach a safe summer by vaccinating the biggest number of citizens, as part of Orange Global Foundation efforts in supporting the national vaccination campaigns in the MENA region and the health sector to combat the pandemic.
