Royal Health Awareness Society donates to Ministry of Health to support COVID vaccination campaign
The Royal Health Awareness Society has donated 256,000 Jordanian dinars to the Ministry of Health to support the Ministry's COVID vaccination campaign around Jordan. This comes as part of the “Chronic Diseases in the Light of the Pandemic” project which is being implemented by the Royal Health Awareness Society in partnership with the World Diabetes Foundation and funded by The Novo Nordisk foundation. The project’s main aim is to provide people at risk of contracting the Coronavirus with the necessary information, especially those with chronic diseases, who are at risk of developing severe complications.
The Minister of Health, His Excellency Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, has praised the donation and the continuous support RHAS strives to provide amidst the pandemic and the vaccination campaign. He has also expressed his gratitude towards the efforts and awareness campaigns carried out by the Royal Health Awareness Society.
On the other hand, The Royal Health Awareness Society Director General; Dima Jweihan has stressed on the importance of the ongoing partnership between RHAS and the Ministry of Health in the light of the pandemic, and the positive impact of this partnership in protecting individuals and raising awareness in the Jordanian society.
It is worth mentioning that the Royal Health Awareness Society is an initiative by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, which aims to increase health awareness and enable the local community to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Moreover, RHAS implements development programs that meets the needs of the local community in line with national health priorities.
