More than 50,000 people visited Aqaba during the Eid al-Adha holiday, according to the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Sharhabeel Madi Saturday.

Madi said that vaccination against COVID-19 amongst hospitality staff stands at 84 percent.

Madi said visitors in the southern portal city have abided by health measures and had to present a vaccination certificate or a PCR test before being allowed to enter the city.
