The number of Aqaba visitors increased by 42 percent amounting to a total of 401,349 people during the first four months of 2023, according to the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).

In a press conference, the head of ASEZA Nayef Al-Fayez said that 93,738 people visited Wadi Rum, which is a 221 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

He pointed out that the Durra crossing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recorded an 872 percent increase in performance rate, with a total of 151,000 visitors during the first four months of this year.
