Jordan records 475 new coronavirus cases, seven deaths
Jordan recorded seven deaths and 475 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 760,161.
The death toll has risen to 9,879.
The cases are:
-282 in Amman
-62 in Zarqa
-49 in Irbid
-16 in Jerash
-12 in Balqa
-15 in Mafraq
-Two in Aqaba
-Six in Karak
-12 in Ajloun
-One in Madaba
-Eight in Tafilah
-One in Ma'an
-Eight in Ramtha
-One in Petra
A total of 59 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 58 have been discharged upon recovery.
There are a total of 7,766 active COVID-19 cases.
There are 491 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.
A total of 20,182 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 8,194,511.
Friday, 2.35 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 2.95 percent on Thursday.
