Jordan records nine deaths and 672 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded nine deaths and 672 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 735,811.

The death toll has risen to 9,452.

The cases are: 

-292 in Amman

-85 in Zarqa

-67 in Irbid, including nine in Ramtha

-43 in Karak

-31 in Ma'an, including six in Petra

-30 in Madaba

-28 in Ajloun

-24 in Tafilah

-24 in Mafraq

-20 in Jerash

-14 in Balqa

-14 in Aqaba

A total of 83 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 59 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 11,657 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,104 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 714,702.

There are 626 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of  15,346 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,260,498.

Sunday, 4.38 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.96 percent on Saturday.
