'The degenerates need to lie to survive... I am the son of Gaza': Mohammed Assaf
Mohammed Assaf, the Palestinian singer who rose to fame following his win in the second season of Arab Idol, said Tuesday he is the son of Gaza, and was a regular witness of the crimes and falsities of the Israeli Occupation.
Assaf denounced the statements of the official spokesman for Arab media in the Israeli Occupation Prime Minister's office, Ophir Gendelman, and the official spokesman for Arab media the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), Avichay Adraee, in which they stated that Hamas is responsible for the current events in the Gaza Strip.
Assaf condemned the bombing by the Israeli Occupation of the Mashriq Foundation, in which he worked in while living in the Gaza Strip.
On Twitter, he wrote, "I am the son of Gaza. I grew up with their crimes and saw their lies with my own eyes, but the time for lying is over and gone. The world sees their lies and crimes directly on their screens."
The Palestinian artist added, "There is a saying... degenerate people need to lie, it is one of the conditions for their survival."
As soon as Assaf published his tweet, Gendelman replied, "Oh Mohammed, as a son of the Gaza Strip, you know very well Hamas's repressive practices against the Gazans."
Adraee also deflected Assaf's statements, claiming that Hamas is to blame for the terror in Gaza.
