Jordan records 21 deaths and 315 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 21 deaths and 315 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 723,069.

The death toll has risen to 9,224.

The cases are:

- 134 in Amman

- 51 in Irbid, including two in Ramtha

- 28 in Zarqa

- 28 in Mafraq

- 22 in Ajloun

- 22 in Ma'an, including five in Petra

- 17 in Balqa

- Five in Jerash

- Two in Tafilah

- Two in Aqaba

- Two in Karak

- Two in Madaba

A total of 80 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 75 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 3,400 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 704 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 710,445.

There are 701 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 9,226 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,912,958.

Friday, 3.41 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 4.01 percent on Thursday.
