Friday, the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, emphasized he is “furious” at the Israeli Occupation airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, urging the UN Security Council to seek a peaceful resolution .

During an online press briefing, Erdogan expressed his sadness.

“We are both saddened and furious at the cruelty of the terrorist state of [the Israeli Occupation] against Palestinians.”

He indicated that standing up against the Israeli Occupation aggression is an honor for mankind.

“To stand against Israel’s aggression in Palestinian cities, Jerusalem is a duty of honor for humanity.”

Erdogan encouraged the world to speak up, noting "those who remain silent or openly back [Israeli Occupation] bloodshed should know one day it will be their turn."

He emphasized how imperative it is for the UN Security Council to take immediate steps in order to ensure peace in Jerusalem.

He added that his country will not ignore the crisis resulting from Israeli Occupation aggression.

Turkey will not remain silent on “the Israeli [Occupation's] persecution in Palestine, even if the entire world ignores it,” he said.
