Fire breaks out in courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque

According to Reuters, a fire broke out in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque which was visible from several parts of Jerusalem.

In a video emerging on social media, the fire engulfed several trees in the mosque compound, and several bangs can be heard.

The cause of the blaze at the third holiest site in Islam could not immediately be confirmed, according to Al-Jazeera, but it followed Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) storming the Al-Aqsa compound which medics said left 331 people wounded.
