A Jordanian man asked if he can take three vaccine doses. Here's what the MoH said.

Thursday, the Ministry of Health provided answers to some of the inquiries that concern the community on its official Twitter page.

Among the questions it responded to was, "Can I take 3 doses of the Corona vaccine to strengthen my immunity?"

The Ministry of Health answered, "There is no recommendation from the manufacturers regarding this issue, or the World Health Organization, and the number of recommended doses for the vaccine must be adhered to."

Interestingly, National Committee for Epidemics member Bassam Hijjawi said Wednesday that there is no reason not to receive a third dose of the vaccine. 

It is unclear if there are any studies demonstrating increased efficacy with a third dose. Most popular vaccines manufacturers- like AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, and Pfizer-BioNTech- recommend two doses.
