Sunday, Saudi Arabia announced their inability to sight the crescent moon which signifies the beginning of Ramadan in the Sudair and Tamir observatories, according to Sabq newspaper.

The sighting of the moon also signifies the month of Sha'ban. The Kingdom expects the sighting to fall on Monday, meaning that Ramadan may begin Tuesday.

The Supreme Court had called for investigating the sighting of the crescent moon on Sunday evening, corresponding to the twenty-ninth of the month of Shaban, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar of Saudi Arabia.
