Tuesday, the Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Nizar Muhaidat said no side effects have been detected so far that requires the suspension of use of any COVID-19 vaccine in Jordan.

Muhaidat added that all vaccines were provided to Jordan directly by the manufacturing companies without an intermediary.

With regard to the Sputnik-V and Sinopharm vaccines, as well as the approvals granted for emergency use of vaccines, he told Amen FM that Jordan was among the pioneers conducting clinical studies.

He stressed that all vaccines submitted to the JFDA were studied extensively to ensure their safety and effectiveness. He added that all vaccines used in the Kingdom are effective and safe.

Muhaidat confirmed that the Kingdom received a shipment of the Sinopharm vaccine and another of the Sputnik-V vaccine, which was handed over to the Ministry of Health.
