The head of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JOCC) Raed Hamada Tuesday called on the government to extend the working hours for home delivery services during the month of Ramadan until the dawn (Suhour), in addition to allowing bakeries, commercial centers, fresh produce stores and bottled water shops to deliver as well.

During a press conference about the preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, Hamada stressed Jordan's safety and security is more important than money. He said shops have already introduced offers on products for Ramadan.

He also noted that malls will not be raising prices during Ramadan, which will also benefit residents and citizens of the Kingdom.

He added that there are sufficient quantities of all basic commodities in the local market including rice, sugar, oils and juices. He called on people not to rush to markets and only purchase the amounts they need.
