Zarqa shopkeepers request extension for trade license renewal period
The shopkeepers in Zarqa Governorate called on the government Saturday, to extend the period of renewing trade licenses until after the Holy Month of Ramadan, taking into account the conditions that most economic sectors are going through as a result of the repercussions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.
Traders emphasized that the cost of licensing and advertisements exceeds JD 200, and that delaying them will give them an opportunity to work during Ramadan and the holidays to earn the extra money.
MP Hayel Ayyash adopted a parliamentary memorandum signed by 20 deputies to demand the extension and delay of licenses due to the critical economic conditions that merchants are going through, as a result of the restrictions imposed by the government, such as the Friday total lockdown and long curfew hours.
MP Ayyash expected that the government will respond to their demands during the current month.
