Jordan records 74 deaths and 7,354 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 74 deaths and 7,354 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 521,461.

The death toll has risen to 5,701.

The cases are:

- 3,918 in Amman

- 887 in Irbid, including 18 in Ramtha

- 579 in Zarqa

- 486 in Jerash

- 336 in Balqa

- 215 in Karak

- 215 in Madaba

- 167 in Tafilah

- 149 in Aqaba

- 147 in Mafraq

- 141 in Ajloun

- 114 in Ma'an, including 26 in Petra

A total of 435 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 386 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 95,308 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 3,481 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 420,452.

There are 3,165 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 38,829 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 5,403,594.

Friday, 18.94 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 19.55 percent on Thursday.
