The Parliamentary Health Committee began the session by recalling the Dead Sea tragedy, and then warned against a repeat of the incident which took place at the hospital.

The Dead Sea tragedy occurred in 2018 and claimed the lives of 22 people and injured 43 others, most of whom were children, as they were swept away by flash floods near the Dead Sea.

The committee confirmed that corruption and negligence are the direct cause of the Salt tragedy.

Sunday, both houses of parliament will hold an emergency session to discuss the implications of the incident.

This is a developing story.
