The Jordanian Armed Forces and the Public Security Directorate on Saturday issued their weekly joint update on the impact of the ongoing regional war on the Kingdom, now in its third week.
Air defenses intercept majority of threats
The military said dozens of missiles and drones launched from Iran toward Jordan were tracked over the past week, with a total of 36 projectiles targeting the Kingdom.
According to the military’s media directorate, the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and destroyed 14 missiles and 21 drones. One attack was not intercepted.
Since the start of the conflict, a total of 240 missiles and drones have been launched toward Jordanian territory.
Of those, 222 were intercepted and destroyed, while 18 were not successfully engaged.
Civil defense responds to falling debris
Separately, the Public Security Directorate reported 114 incidents this week involving falling debris from missiles and drones across most governorates.
Authorities said civil defense and police units responded to the reports, securing sites and assessing damage.
One child was injured during the week due to falling debris but was treated and later discharged from hospital in good condition.
Public urged to avoid debris
Officials said a total of 414 debris incidents have been recorded since the beginning of the war, resulting in 24 injuries.
All injured individuals have since left hospitals.
The Public Security Directorate renewed warnings against approaching or handling unidentified objects or fragments, citing serious risks.
Residents were urged to report suspicious objects via the emergency number 911 and to rely on official sources for information, avoiding rumors and misinformation.
