Tuesday, the demand for food supplies increased by 30 percent ahead of the weather conditions which started Wednesday across the Kingdom, announced the head of the General Association for Foodstuffs Merchants Khalil Haj Tawfiq.

"Despite this high turnout, purchasing rates decreased in comparison with similar weather conditions in previous years," Tawfiq told the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

He lastly stressed that Jordan has sufficient stocks of food.
