The Minister of Industry and Trade Maha Al-Ali spoke Monday about the opening of various economic centers on Roya's Nabd albalad.

She noted that about 400 sports clubs pledged to open their doors with strict preventive measures.

Hours before her interview, gyms and sports clubs opened their doors for the first time in nearly three months as part of the Kingdom's gradual reopening.

The ministry will continue to intensify supervision over various regions and facilities throughout the Kingdom, with 13 entities are tasked with monitoring the sectors, so that they can distribute the effort.

She pointed out that there are about 1,600 employees within the bodies in charge of monitoring, working according to the "smart inspection" system.

Most monitoring bodies are located in Amman because it has the highest concentration of establishments.

Sunday,  Jordanian authorities said they were 'closely monitoring' the COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom after the weekend saw an increase in the amount of positive PCR tests.

According to previous statements by the ministry of health, the rate of positive PCR tests must stay below five percent for sectors to safely reopen.

Al-Ali said that authorities have not discussed bringing back the Friday lockdown, which was imposed in the Kingdom from October to January and forbade movement on Fridays.
