Palestine records 19 deaths and 2,155 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 19 deaths and 2,155 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Tuesday.

The new deaths involved 13 in the West Bank (three in Tulkarm; two in the suburbs of Jerusalem; one in Qalqilya; two in Ramallah; two in Nablus; one in Jenin' one in Hebron and one in Bethlehem), and six in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 84.2 percent, while the active case rate is 14.9 percent and the death rate is one percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 23 in Tubas; 82 in Tulkarm; 33 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 25 in Qalqilya; 21 in Salfit; 161 in Ramallah; 82 in Nablus; 65 in Jenin; 61 in Hebron; 43 in Bethlehem; 11 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar, and 542 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 12 in Tubas; 51 in Tulkarm; 248 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 24 in Qalqilya; 41 in Salfit; 229 in Ramallah; 366 in Nablus; 129 in Jenin; 173 in Hebron; 72 in Bethlehem; 15 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar and 795 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 127 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 30 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,525 PCR tests were conducted Tuesday.
