Jordan confirms 22 deaths and 1,708 new coronavirus cases
Jordan has recorded 22 deaths and 1,708 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 271,514.
The death toll has now risen to 3,518.
The cases are:
-522 in Amman
-662 in Irbid, including 67 in Ramtha
-150 in Zarqa
-54 in Madaba
-48 in Jerash
-36 in Ajloun
-16 in Ma'an, including one in Petra
-101 in Mafraq
-50 in Balqa
-48 in Karak
-19 in Tafilah
-Two in Aqaba
A total of 137 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 153 have been discharged upon recovery.
There are a total of 31,446 active COVID-19 cases.
A total of 3,160 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 236,550.
There are 1,101 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.
A total of 17,735 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,933,001.
Friday, 9.63 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
