Jordan records 31 deaths and 2,221 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 31 deaths and 2,221 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 269,806.

The death toll has risen to 3,496.

The cases are:

-712 in Amman

-166 in Mafraq

-147 in Zarqa

-92 in Jerash

-72 in Karak

-48 in Tafilah

-572 in Irbid, including 86 in Ramtha

-149 in Balqa

-92 in Ajloun

-91 in Madaba

-59 in Aqaba

-21 in Ma'an, including five in Petra

A total of 137 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 123 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 32,920 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 3,116 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 233,390.

There are 1,136 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 21,176 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,915,266.

Thursday, 10.49 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
