Jordan records 28 deaths and 2,561 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 28 deaths and 2,561 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 267,585.

The death toll has risen to 3,465.

The cases are: 

- 926 in Amman

- 771 in Irbid, including 81 in Ramtha

- 174 in Ajloun

- 136 in Zarqa

- 124 in Balqa

- 90 in Mafraq

- 74 in Jerash

- 66 in Aqaba 

- 60 in Madaba

- 53 in Karak

- 50 in Tafilah

- 37 in Ma'an, including eight in Petra

A total of 136 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 138 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 33,846 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 4,029 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 230,274.

There are 1,149 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 22,540 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,894,090.

Wednesday, 11.36 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
