Kharabsheh said due to the citizens' non-compliance with health and safety measures in parliamentary elections, Jordan will witness an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases during the next two weeks.
He added the next stage will be the worst, noting that the government should resort to strict measures, such as smart lockdowns or closures to limit the spread of the virus.
Jordan has a total of 132,086 confirmed coronavirus cases and 1,547 deaths since the beginning of the crisis in March.
