SSC Attorney General approves indictment against 17 people arrested for Zarqa crime

The Attorney General of the State Security Court (SSC), Military Judge Hazem Abdel Salam Al-Majali, has approved the indictment issued by SSC Public Prosecutor, Major Military Judge Yousef Khreisat, in the Zarqa crime case Wednesday.

The public prosecutor assigned felony charges for carrying out terror acts, endangering the safety of society, exposing lives to danger by using weapons and causing terror to the 17 defendants.

The felonies are in conjunction with Articles 2, 3 and 7 / B / 3 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act No. 55 of 2006 and its amendments, and additionally according to Article 7 of the same act and other legally binding charges.

According to a judicial source, the defendants will be notified of the indictment, and the case will be referred to the SSC, which has the jurisdiction to start the trial procedures.
