A total of 30,316 active coronavirus cases have been recorded in Jordan, according to Worldometer on Sunday.

The total number of positive cases reported since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis reached 37,573, only 6,912 of which have recovered and 345 died.

A total of 15 deaths and 1,520 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Kingdom, according to the government's daily coronavirus announcement on Sunday.

The head of the coronavirus portfolio, Wael Hayajneh, said a number of decisions will be made in the near future which require more compliance from citizens.

The decisions aim to protect citizens' health and the local economy, he added.

Jordan is entering a new stage which requires transparency, cooperation and commitment between the citizen and the official, he said.
