Israeli occupier Knesset member Avi Dichter Thursday said that the occupier will no longer allow Palestinian singer Mohammed Assaf to enter his home country.

The Israeli occupier alleges Assaf actively incites violence against the occupation.

In turn, Assaf posted to Instagram addressing his country, saying that he continues to hold strong his national values, and that he is ever proud to be Palestinian.

“It is only a continuation of the policies, repression, and curtailing of the freedoms that my people suffer,” he said of his alleged ban.

Dichter will reportedly discuss Assaf’s “inciting activities” with the UAE, where Assaf currently resides. The UAE has not commented on the matter.

The Israeli occupier and UAE normalized ties earlier this year in what many see as a blow to future independent Palestinian statehood.

Assaf’s popular song "Raise the Koufia,” considered an iconic symbol of Palestine, was deleted off Emirati media conglomerate MBC’s website, despite a reported five million hits.
